609-867-5309
May. 1st, 2009 01:19 amThat is not Ariel's phone number. It's Jenny's. You know, Jenny, as in, Jeeeeennny, I've got your number, 867-530(nieeieeieeiine)
Ariel, if you didn't want me to have your number, say, "Um, Lara, you're a cool person but I don't want you to call me. I don't want to have any contact with you outside of my job." You could have added a line about it being company policy or something, I wouldn't have minded, but it wouldn't have been necessary.
Teach me to go stoppin' in at Club XXXotic on my day off, yeah.
I'm totally embarrassed.
This all started a few weeks ago when I brought Ariel a Janis Ian CD. Something she had said reminded me of two different Janis Ian songs, and I mentioned the songs and she said she didn't know who Janis Ian was, and so the next week I stopped by and gave her the burned CD. Then last week I was there with B and I asked her how she liked it and we talked about music a little and she said she'd burn me a Joss Stone CD.
So I (stupidly) today, when I stopped in to pick up the CD, asked her if I could have her phone# in case I ever wanted to text her or something (do I use the phone? No, never. So what do I need her number for? Yeah, exactly, I'm an idiot!) and she took my phone and put her number in it. She was like, yeah, sure, here it is.
So in my head I'm like 0.o wow, cool, she actually does want to speak to me outside of her job, she's not just being nice because it's part of her job, how awesome is this?
No.
I don't believe for one minute that she's 609-867-5309.
Errrr, actually, I did call that number. Because I'm that pathetic.
It's not her.
