Today I wore my new plaid shorts.

Also, I went to the supermarket and won.

And in addition, B and I began discussing packing lists for China.

How to win at supermarketing?

Bring children. Seriously. I know, it doesn't sound quite like a win but when you think about it, it totally is.

People don't run right the fuck into you when you've got a child on either side of you. They don't step right in front of you and reach around you when you're loudly calling attention to your presence talking to children (or talking them into doing your shopping for you, lol...)

And... you can make them get your groceries for you, and they think it's fun. You can make them push the little mini-twodecker carts, and they think it's fun.

And... if you're 25, the children are 3 and 5 and resemble you... people compliment you on how well behaved your offspring are.
