Alphabet Meme + My Day
So I did go to the doctor today (dear ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tenfeethigh, I also just wrote doctor with a capital D... and btw hope your finger starts feeling better...) and NOTHING DISASTROUS happened... I didn't get much information on what exactly the doctor thought was wrong with me, which is pretty much what I expected to happen, but he wrote me a prescription for some muscle relaxers, which I filled and promptly took and then fell asleep right away and woke up feeling better than I have in quite some time - he said if they didn't work after a few days to come back. They worked. I take it that's a very good sign. - He also wrote me a prescription for an x-ray and an MRI, which I had to call and make appointments for, OF COURSE like six weeks from now... and he wrote me a prescription for physical therapy, which... I am ambivalent about, but I guess I will go for a consult at least, if for no other reason than to see what a physical therapist says about the xray and mri...
I also got a note saying I'm allowed to return to work on Thursday, meaning that I'm not going to work tomorrow and Wednesday. I called the coffee co. and Renee made some comment about how "maybe you're just not cut out for this kind of job" and I was like "fuck you, I got hurt, it happens." No, actually I was like, "blah blah blah sorry, please let me keep my job" because I am pathetic like that. Either that or I am stubborn - she doesn't want me working there? Fine. I want to work there then. Funny, though, Vicky at the restaurant has no problem with me missing work, you know, for health reasons and didn't even ask me for a doctor's note. Go figure.
*Waves* hi to anyone who friended me from the Doctor Who comm! I've been going through some personal shit recently and I've really been unloading on this journal, but I swear, I'm not normally like this! And now that season four has started... *rubs hands together* so excited!
Just to give some random facts about myself here, instead of letting my mopey journal entries give you a biased impression...
A - Accent: Ok, interesting one to start with. I'm American, so I have an American accent. I am from Pennsylvania. I live in New Jersey and I do NOT have a New Jersey accent. If you're on the other side of the world, I promise there is a difference between how someone from Pennsylvania sounds and how someone from New Jersey sounds. That said, if you heard me talk, it might be difficult to pick out my accent, because people are always asking me where I'm from and what kind of accent I have. The truth is, I think I just talk funny or something. Cause in my head I sound just like everyone else :)
B - Breast size: They are small.
C - Chore you hate: washing dishes. But paper plates are so BAD!
D - Dad's name: Joey
E - Essential make-up item: Um. Tinted moisturizer?
F - Favorite perfume: Victoria's Secret Heavenly
G - Gold or silver: silver, thanks
H - Hometown: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
I - Insomnia: Comes and goes. Right now, it's gone, due to medication, but hey, I'll take what I can get :P
J - Job title: hostess/barista
K - Kids: do I like them? yeah. Do I want my own? NO NO and NO.
L - Living arrangements: I live by myself in a disaster of a house.
M - Mum's birthplace: I'm not sure. My mom lies a lot. I've heard Egypt and I've heard New York. It's probably neither.
N- Number of apples you've eaten: How many people can actually answer this question with a number instead of a smart comment?
O - Overnight hospital stays: Too many
P - Phobia: ummmmm... I don't know, irrational fear? Oh wait, maybe THE PHONE.
Q - Quest: Fix my house!!!
R - Religious affiliation: I am unaffiliated, and adamantly so
S - Siblings: I have one younger sister who I haven't seen in a few years
T - Time you wake up: Four AM or earlier, and that's if I went to bed at all. But I sleep in the afternoons a lot.
U - Unnatural hair colors you've worn: Oh, my hair hasn't been its natural color in about eight years now. Maroon is always a favorite, purple is a close second, and there's always the elusive white.... and there's been some accidental orange and yellow, and, during a lapse in judgement that lasted several months and could be referred to as a "phase," there was fuchsia...
V - Vegetable you refuse to eat: Lima beans are not on my grocery list. EVAR.
W - Worst habit: Being negative
X - X-rays you've had: Oh geez. My skull/face, spine/neck/back, ribs, hands, left shoulder (no not recently), oh, and my TOES... I don't think I've left anything out but it's possible...
Y - Yummy foods you make: Make??? Well I make a mean omelette, hollandaise sauce and all... but really I am a pro at ordering out...
Z - Zodiac sign: I don't know. I'll have to look that up.
