OMG RTD Twice In One Day!!

No, it's true, the contractors really could replace all the windows in one day. I really never heard of such a thing before. But it's true.
So I was watching the little bar downloading Torchwood and someone knocked on my door? This was after the windows were finished - they started at like six this morning, and by four in the afternoon they were gone and everything was cleaned up and everything - so there was no reason for anyone to be coming in and out of my house, and I was trying out those hot patch things from the store, which do feel really good but did not actually help much -
So I got a visitor. This girl Ruth from work brought me banana bread? I was like 0.o how did you know where I live? She said J told her. And how did J know that I wasn't coming to work tonight because I feel like utter shit? B told him. Ok. So, I am Ruth's charity project. That's fine, I like banana bread, but... weird.
Actually I'm not being fair. She came in and admired my house - she was not like, ew, this is disgusting, she was like, wow, you're in the middle of remodeling everything, I love your kitchen, blah blah blah. And she gave me the phone number for a clinic in AC that she recommends - it's not like the restaurant offers fabulous insurance and I got the impression that Ruth has used public assistance before as well. She was very nice. That was nice that she came over and brought me bread and admired my kitchen.
But really I just wanted her to leave so I could check on my download and
OMG NOT OWEN! Owen is my fav! Owen has always been my fav! I wasn't too thrilled with this Owen-is-a-zombie crap, I mean, how were they going to fix that? They couldn't bring him back to life in the show, that would have been beyond the suspend-your-disbelief barrier. So I knew he was gonna go eventually. BUT WHYYYYY? I LOVE OWEN! Still, I could kinda see that one coming. With a life like his, his non-renewing body wasn't going to last very long anyway.
But TOSH? Where the hell did that one come from? Just had to tug on our heart strings a little more, didn't we?
I dig that John Hart is sticking around, and that he's not totally absolutely completely freakin' evil. I think the whole Jack's-bro-is-the-evil-villian-of-S2 was a tiny bit lame and far-fetched, and that the actor was crap, but, meh, S1 didn't end on such a hot note either. I DEFINITELY like that there was a frozen Jack in the Torchwood vaults all along, that's just fab :P
And then, then, right away I got a download of Doctor Who, and, WOW! I was so not impressed with the Christmas special, it was kinda like, eh, okay, some of that was all right, but, really, is that the best you can do? And I loved the other two Christmas specials. So really it was a disappointment. I love Catherine Tate but she had me kind of worried - her Donna character was pretty freakin annoying and I wasn't convinced I needed to see more of her, but what a spectacular episode! I was cracking up through most of it - I LOVED the dialogue, some of that was just priceless, and oh, the faces the two of them made! And I am so freakin' glad that the Doctor finally has a companion that's not in love with him. That was getting a little old.
That said - OMG ROSE! I was so not expecting that! I knew we were going to see her again, but right away?? More than I could ask for! But, but, but... her eyebrows looked a little odd, for one thing, and for another: HER BOOTY SHRANK. AGAIN. I liked Rose better when she wasn't so skinny, but, well, I'm glad she's in the picture, although she didn't really seem with it... maybe she wasn't really there, even before she faded away? Cause she didn't seem to really respond to Donna.
Now I really want to know what she's been up to all this time. I know what I think she's been doing. I've read plenty of fanfic. I really believed that that was all there was left for her, just speculation from her loyal fans. Now that they've brought her back for real, they'd better not fuck it up, that's all I have to say!
