Back "Home"
Apr. 16th, 2009 02:10 pmAhhhh, so here I am, "home" again at 36th Street. Returned from exile at 38th.
Yeah... I dunno, I just like this house better. I really couldn't say why. It's not that it's in better shape - I really liked that I was using refrigerators as walls! Honestly! I thought that was cool! It's just that this house feels more like home to me. And it has a front porch :P
What am I doing back? Well, my tenants are all gone, for I have banished them back to wherever they came from. No, actually, they knew they were leaving mid-April. It was part of the deal from the beginning. I've spent the morning upstairs, cleaning and checking everything over and stuff. Erica was supposed to sleep over last night and then come over here with me early this morning, but she bailed on me last night and then slept in this morning and showed up around ten. Well, whatever, she did show up, and she's been a big help. I love that Erica is tall :P She's been on lightbulb duty all morning :P
My tenants up here did a good job not destroying the place - I think I've been really fortunate with the people who rent from me. Not to jinx myself, but I haven't dealt with any disasters yet. These kids have done a great job of not leaving a disaster for me. I love them to death, and besides, I'm jealous. How fun would it be to have your own apartment in your senior year of high school? This town is weird, but in some ways, it's very very cool.
