Post-Yoga And Words
Nov. 7th, 2009 11:25 amWell, yoga class was totally a bust. As I previously mentioned. I really... had no idea what to expect from it, but I guess in my head it would be like stretching and strength building and breathing and finding my zen, and stuff like that. It really was not. I mean, when I read "low impact" yoga, I was thinking, okay, I will not leave sweating and out of breath, will not pull a muscle or two or four, will not be expected to contort into strange positions (I can't, anyway, my vertebrae are fused together. It's physically impossible. But at the same time - it's not a bad thing to push the limits in a controlled way) and the instructor will expect to work with whatever abilities the class members do and don't have. Basically - I'm not going to get hurt while trying to do something active. My snow escapades back in... 2001, I think, come immediately to mind. I'd like to think such a class does actually exist... but this was not it.
( Too much stuff to say )
Ummm, but, also, besides whether or not I want to learn to ski, uh... this is now the second time my boyfriend has said something along the lines of "not this year, next year."
As if wherever the two of us will be in another year, we will clearly be there together.
First time he said it I just thought he was randomly saying stuff and it didn't mean anything (although I sure thought it meant something.) Now I think he knows exactly what he's saying.
Well.
Huh.
That's something.
