When am I going to be done having first days of school???

Finally, finally I am doing something in school to work on my actual degree. Yeah, my bible class is interesting - seriously, you don't have to twist my arm to read other people's analyses of the bible - and my GLBT experience in African American culture class is, if nothing else, an extremely illuminating discussion (and something for me to obsessively check in on via phone/laptop/whatever besides LJ) but neither class is even remotely related to getting me closer to OUT OF SCHOOL.

Maybe I should just give up on this whole "out of school" goal. Honestly. I mean, when I graduate, where is my health insurance going to come from then? Also... if I actually WANT to be an SLP (and maybe it shouldn't even be whether or not I WANT to - I believe it's something I can be successful at, and maybe that's all I should really look for, since I have a tendency to hate everything in some way, no matter what it is or how good I am at it) ummm... that means grad school. With an undergraduate degree in SLH, well, I think that means I could be like an assistant in a speech clinic or something. Could, as in "could be," not actually "would probably get the job." Or, I don't know. Maybe I have too many misconceptions/preconceptions about how the whole things works. Whatever. Anyway, it's going to be a while before I'm out of school, grad school or no, and I think I'd be better of NOT counting down the days. Cause there are a lot of them.

Next semester will be more like I'm actually back in the program. Of course, now I'm totally out of sync with everyone I met in my classes last year, and will of course have to meet and try to become comfortable with all new people, as I belatedly realized yesterday when I showed up for class and suddenly felt very weird, just popping up mid semester in a class that's been going on since the end of August. Yeah. If I had realized just how awkward that would be... I'd have been a lot more nervous about my zillionth first day of school. But it went ok. No major mishaps. Actually, no minor mishaps either. Weather was nice so I did not get rained on or need to worry about bundling up outside and then being to warm inside. Also, I can drink my coffee and drive my chair at the same time and THAT is rather convenient if I do say so myself.

And I have been dutifully dumping my coffee grounds in the garden. I dunno what that is supposed to accomplish really. Caffeinated plants? Gardening is really something I know nothing about.
