Night Of Destruction
Aug. 4th, 2010 06:57 pmJust ask me how many things I broke last night.
Was I throwing a temper tantrum or something???
Maybe with my brain...
I was sitting at my table using my computer and pushed it back a few inches so I could like see the screen from a different angle, and pushed my daisy juice glass of the table and on to the floor. It broke, of course. All over. With cranberry juice in it. I was pissed. That was like my favorite cup.
Then upon getting up I managed to get some part of my pants (yes my awesome pants with lots of buttons on them... of course) stuck on a drawer which caused me to knock over the chair I had been sitting in which then knocked over another chair and on THAT chair was a six pack of beer bottles and all the bottles broke all over the floor and I was just like 0.o WAT. How did that even... WHAT?
(I think that's what happened? All I know is that one second I was like, hmm, better clean this up, and the next second both chairs were knocked over and all the beer was all over the floor and there was MORE glass and liquid everywhere AND my pants were still stuck to the drawer.)
So I was like... ok. I guess I'll... clean this up then. Which I did - sorta. I mean I swept all the glass into a pile and wiped up the beer and cranberry juice. The glass is still on the floor tho cause I sometimes have this problem where although it's completely possible to complete a certain task I just... don't. I actually go out of my way not to. Go me.
So then. Then I decided, ok I will play some guitar. Which I did and was having a lovely time. Then my phone rang. (No I didn't break my phone - too bad) and I was like, grrrr, I'm busy, don't want to answer that. But I did. While I was on the phone I heard this weird noise and was like, huh, wonder what that was, oh well. Get off the phone, pick up the guitar. There's something weird on it like a hair or something OH WAIT. NO that is a snapped string! What the fuck? I wasn't even touching it! So I played it a little without the string just for practice. And then I looked into the corner of the room - for whatever reason - and was like, huh, why are my curtains on the floor?
Yes. At some point yesterday the curtain rod detached itself from the wall and was on the floor tangled up with the curtains. How I missed that one I have no idea - I mean I was home all day! When did that even happen. So I was like... ok I need some air. So I go out on my back porch, turn on the light, light promptly fizzles out.
So... I mean... am I subconsciously wrecking things? Or is this more of a law of random numbers situation? I mean seriously!
And then this morning I was picking up the glass and one of my buttons is on the floor...

Date: 2010-08-05 01:18 am (UTC)Dude, I like sooo do this. Especially if it was something that was pissing me off. If I'm lucky I'll get to it the next day, sometimes it lasts way longer that I like to admit. If when trying to work on my car I start breaking stuff trying to get apart, I just get pissed, turn off the light in the shop, lock the door, and go in the house. And maybe go back to it in a couple days.
Oh, and regarding lightbulbs, the other day I went into the bathroom, flipped on the lights above the sink and both bulbs blew. Like how often does that happen? and did I have any normal bulbs? no, only CFLs which don't exactly work in this fixture.
And uggh, I should get back to practicing the guitar every day again. I procrastinate too well.
