Xena: Sins of the Past
Jun. 4th, 2009 03:34 amWell, I can say I've seen most of Xena: Warrior Princess when it aired on TV in the 90s, but I definitely haven't seen every episode. I saw new ones in my fabulous re-watch of seasons three and four (my faves) and tonight, well, tonight I watched the pilot episode, confirming what I had previously suspected: I never saw it before.
It's got that typical pilot-quality to it, too, the color's a little off, the sound's a little off, and so on. Xena's wearing a headband and carries her sword on her hip - for how long does she carry it like this, and how long does that headband last? Gabrielle looks like a little girl - I know Xena's prolly like ten years older than she is but in the pilot she looks so young -
And... first shot of Xena is her undressing. Figures - how many times do we get to see Xena in her underwear, anyway? Or does she just stop wearing underwear after a while? Cause I don't remember ever seeing that before. I love that it's dirty :P
And thus begins the Great Xena Re-Watch of the summer of 2009
