I have to figure out something to wear to my cousin's wedding (on Saturday)
I was supposed to do that like last month. It just occurred to me a few days ago that the wedding is next weekend.
I like... don't have dressy clothing. I never have to dress up so... what's the point? I have the black and white dress I bought to wear to B's friend's wedding, but I can't wear it, it's sleeveless! It doesn't look like a winter dress at all, and, I've kind of got some bad associations with that dress anyway, and I'm not going to wear the white boots I bought to go with that dress because they keep leaving freaky marks on my legs and I'm already having issues with that as it is.
I have a skirt that I've been wearing sometimes and it's just a brown knit knee length skirt, it's not dressy at all, but it always fits - I lost a lot of weight but it's elastic so it's still all right, and if I gain it back, it will fit then too, and that's kind of why I bought it, I was sick of my pants falling down but didn't want to buy smaller pants since I have no intentions of staying this weight. I wonder if I buy a really pretty top I can pull off some kind of fancy-casual look? I'd be wearing my green boots - which, actually, look totally awesome with the brown skirt. I was hesitant about that at first, but it looks fine, really.
How are you supposed to dress for a wedding? I don't want to look like I'm going to a nightclub! Or to, like, a job interview or something like that, either. I think I'll try Target (my new go-to omg-I-need-something store) and see if I can put together a decent outfit. They have a huge accessories department, too - the accessories make the outfit, right?
Earlier today I told my boyfriend that it would be easier if I was a guy, then I'd just wear a suit. He asked me if I realized that a nice suit costs over a thousand dollars. Then he was like, whatever, wear a suit. You can rent them from tuxedo stores, you know. And I was like, seriously? And he was like, yes, you can, go look it up if you don't believe me. And I was like, no, seriously, you think I should wear a suit? Like, a guy's suit? And he was like, well, if you're going to bitch about not wanting to wear a dress, then yes.
Lol. No, I'm not actually going to do that.
But someday I might. I wonder if I could actually make myself look like a guy? If I wore a really nice suit, and a cool hat... probably, I'd just look like a girl in guy's clothes. But now I'd really like to try it out.
XD
