Ice Cream Makes Me Sick

Yeah, apparently ice cream does make me sick. I don't usually eat anything with dairy just because it sometimes gives me a headache and sometimes upsets my stomach, but apparently ice cream now makes me throw up because this is the second time it happened. First time I thought it was because I ate too much at once (like the whole box of kona coffee mochi) and maybe this time it was because I drank a beer first (I know, very smart, let's mix some beer through a straw with all those meds and pour some cream and sugar all over it) but at this point I'm thinking that I've spent so much time avoiding dairy except in both small quantities and combined with other foods that my body has forgotten how to digest it at all.
Right. I'm sure throwing up is exactly what you wanted to hear about :) But, just for the record, I know I am really picky about food but I'd just like to point out that it's usually for a reason!
Hmmm, um, in other news I've been watching a lot of tv, but, the tv is still not mounted on the wall. Also, I registered for an online class for summer II, although I'm kind of dubious about how it will go. I have plenty of reasons to think it won't be much of a success, but one, I am very bored, and two, the class is not for credit, so as long as I pass it it counts, and I doubt very much I'd actually FAIL the class.
The trouble with being a returning student is that some of the classes I took the first time around don't count for my new major but are so similar to their equivalents that DO count that while they do count towards my degree, I cannot get credit for them >.<
I predict that next summer, when I'll be well enough to have no issues at all with getting to class and etc, the majority of the classes available to me for the summer sessions will be online. Um. Self directed study is not really one of my strong points. In fact, it kind of spells disaster, although perhaps the prospect of losing my full time status if I don't complete the credits will be a successful motivator after all. But it can't hurt to try out the whole online class thing this summer, so at least I'll know what I'm getting in to.

Date: 2011-06-28 01:10 am (UTC)Glad to hear you are enrolling in a summer class, hopefully it will help distract you from other stuff. It kinda sucks the class won't actually count for anything but that you still have to take it. But oh well, such is life.

P.S. - ICK! throwing up sounds absolutely horrible in your condition right now. Geez.

Date: 2011-07-04 01:28 am (UTC)TV is a wonderful thing. Bat your eyes at Bevan to get him to mount it to the wall. ;)
Good luck with the online class! Maybe if you put a time during the day at the same time you can treat it as something that you would usually physically go to. Like, noon every monday, wednesday, and friday, for so many hours you do the work for the class. If that's possible.

Date: 2011-07-04 06:00 pm (UTC)Tv is currently on the wall - our renters insurance wont cover us if anything happens to the tv or the wall if we hung it ourselves, so we did pay someone to hang it for us. now it's on the wall over the fireplace, and the stereo and cable box and playstation are all stacked up on a stool in front of the fireplace... the eventual plan is to build like... a mantle or something to store them on/in whatever.
yeah, thanks for the luck, ill totally need it. but that's a good suggestion. also, summer session is only six weeks, so I figure playing the whole "omg I am now THE MOST DEDICATED STUDENT EVAR" game might just last that long!
