16. What are you passionate about?


To be perfectly honest, I have a very hard time working up any kind of passion about anything these days. I know what I'm supposed to answer. I'm passionate about creativity, about music, about engaging stories and reinterpretation and visual art... those are the things Lara feels passion about.

But I'm not actually passionate about anything. It's kind of like being dead.

I know what you mean. I'm lacking passion for everything as well atm...
But I know why that is. I have this condition, called derealization/feelings of unreality... I'm really numb and kinda dead and I even have to fake emotions sometimes...
Why aren't you passionate about anything? Is there a certain reason to it? Sorry if you talked about it recently, but I still couldn't catch up with all the posts I've missed (3 months or sth... I'm such a bad LJ friend...)

I don't know why... I've always thought of myself as a creative person, and I know there have been things I've been VERY passionate about in the past, but lately I've felt like there really isn't anything left to excite me anymore. I've always assumed that it's either related to depression or that it's a side effect from a medication, but I don't really know. I haven't thought about it much until I went to answer this question and couldn't come up with anything

*hugs* Passion is EXHAUSTING. Sometimes you just need a break from it before you find it again.
