A Few Things (Just A Few)

1. I can't find my driver's license anywhere. I never drive, but I do purchase alcohol from time to time and not having a photo ID is kind of a problem.

2. My pharmacy gave me the wrong medication. Yes, they really did. I couldnt believe it. It never really occurred to me to souble check that the right stuff was in the bag - its a pharmacy, these are drugs, they dont screw things up like that! It took me over an hour of waiting to get the right drugs, and neither the techs not the pharmacist apologized or showed any concern or sense of urgency to get the mix up fixed. I couldnt believe it. Im used to being given shit at the pharmacy - shit like, oh, we dont have any of that, we wont be able to fill this until next week (when its a prescription that must be re-prescribed monthly on THE DAY it runs out) and if that means youll go into withdraw we dont care, oh and by the way we flagged you, so dont bother EVER trying to pick up a schedule II here, we'll always be "out." That kind of shit. Ive never been given the wrong drug before. IMO they should all be fired. Someone could die that way. And they didnt even care - the tech was even snotty with me, makin sarcastic comments about me to the oharmacist right in front of me. I dont even. Wtf.

3. Me and Bevan did some beach/back to school shopping, cause thats what we're doing for the rest of the month. Im all set: sunscreen and beach towel, insulated cooler pouch, case of coconut water for the beach, lunch bag, laptop case, and capri pants for school, good to go! Im excited for school this year cause I finally feel like Im making some progress with this degree. Dont expext to hear from me too much cause Ill be busy busy busy!

3. Yay for being excited for school. I mean, in general I always like college, but I know my last year when I was deep in classes that were totally in my major and that I found totally interesting certainly made me that much more excited.


2. Apparently this happens more often then one thinks. Not that I have ever gotten a prescription medication since I've been old enough to get my own, but I know my insurance advises checking the bottle labels, and if it is a recurring prescription to check to make sure the pills look the same, and question if they don't.

1. Sorry, sounds like a pain in the butt. People probably look at you weird when you use a passport to get into bars.

3. Yeah this will be when all the interesting and challenging stuff starts. I feel like Im up for the challenge - I certainly hope I can keep that feeling up for the whole two semesters! Because honestly... otherwise, if I feel like I cant handle it, Id seriously consider dropping out. But I really want a degree. I really do, and Id feel like shit about myself if it turns out that in reality, I just cant do it.

2. That just floors me. People could die that way - not me, I dont have any drug allergies or do I take anything that would be deadly in combination with a normal dose of anything else (I dont think...) but there are certainly people out there who do. There are also tons of old people with poor close up vision and even cognitive and memory issues that would prevent them from knowing they have the wrong stuff. Its just scary. And the pharmacies are always such sticklers about seeing my ID and having me sign the sheet and blah blah blah, but they give ME an attitude when THEYVE screwed something up? Id feel better knowing it was some kind of computer error, or my doctor's office made a mistake when calling it in, but no. They actully just put the wrong thing in the bag.

1. Im plenty used to people looking at me weird. I dont even care. But I dont really want to carry my passport around with me, being that its a it harder and more expensive to replace than a drivers license.
