Do I even want to go there?

Sometimes fandom freaks me out a little. Do I really want to post my Harry Potter fic here on LJ, or should I just save myself the trouble? Those Harry Potter fans are pretty intense.

I hate posting fics in a fandom for the first time (I assume this is the first time?). I always feel apprehensive, especially in fandoms where the fic quality is high (I have no idea if this is the case for HP, but just saying).

I always feel like I'm intruding on a secret club or something, and besides that, I read so many good fics and spend so much time on my own fics that if I post mine and they get kind of ignored I start to think they suck or something, lol
