1. She lied about her age. I didn't ask her how old she is - she just up and told me she's thirty-six. Except for she isn't, she's thirty-two. I know this because a few days after she told me she's thirty-six, she took me aside and told me she lied, she's really thirty-two and she didn't want me to think she was too young, but then she felt bad for lying so she told me her real age. The fact that she felt the need to lie in the first place supersedes the fact that my dad's old enough to be her dad too.

2. She referred to herself as my step-mother, in the context that she just loves being a mother and thinks she is a very motherly person and wants to be a mother figure to me - she isn't my step-mother, being that she is not married to my dad. My dad only ever married one lady, and I've never met her. She also isn't a mother-figure to me and she never will be - I'm sorry, we're too close in age. I think I've been pretty damn nice and chill about her, but for her to think she's in any way maternal to me - just no.

3. She left her kids with me. Now, I like her kids. I like kids, in general, and I like hers specifically, and I'm really good with kids, kids love me and blah blah blah. I used to work at an after-school program. I think kids are awesome. But I don't appreciate being saddled with them all day long without being asked first - and I feel like I'm babysitting, and I should be paid to do that besides. Yeah, taking the girls to the supermarket with me was a fantastic idea, for them and for me. But this means I had things to do for the day that didn't include being at Amanda's beck and call for babysitting.

4. She called my sister a spoiled brat, in the context of how she likes me but my sister's a spoiled brat. NOT COOL, AMANDA. I don't want to hear insults towards my sister - she's my sister, no need to try to pit us against each other, all right? I know she's not a spoiled brat, even though she may have acted that way to you.

5. She told me to smile. This is one of my biggest pet peeves - WHO DOES THAT? Since when does someone else get to tell me when to smile? I'll smile when I'm in the mood to, damnit! If I'm not, I'm certainly not obligated to fake it just because you said so!

No offense meant love, but she sounds like a suck-up. And one of those cheery, annoying people you just want to hit.

Absolutely no offense taken. I try to like people upon meeting them - but some people just continue to lose points like this - then I feel I'm justified in disliking them. As long as I have a good, logical reason, then I'm not being a bitch about it :P

She is being a suck up. Meaning basically she's insecure around me. Meaning she's obviously got something to be insecure about... more points lost!
