I did. I really did.

Sometimes I feel like I'm possessed, or like I'm two different people.

I don't know how I can expect anyone else to deal with this. It's like saying, "I love you, and because I love you, I feel comfortable enough with you to let my true self show. Here, have some heaps of abuse now, cause this IS my true self! There, can't you feel the love?"

oh dear...

This is the part where I say it'll be ok, right? (but how stupid was it, honestly?)

Take care,
Ivy

It was pretty stupid, really. Starting a fight for no reason - something I seem to do a lot of but don't even realize until it's over and done with.

I looked for your entry, btw, but didn't see it. Hope you're in a better mood!

I did an update, but not about what was making me so pissy. I had the stupidest argument with my husband (sound familiar?). I saw on the news that there's a group of moms boycotting Denny's because a lady got thrown out of the restaurant for breast-feeding. Remi's like, "well yea, it's public nudity" and I just saw red. It's a pet peeve of mine, not like I have kids or anything but she's FEEDING HER CHILD not doing a PEEP-SHOW. What do you want me to do, let the baby cry? Pump a bottle at home and bring it along? (you'd be amazed how fast they'll go through it sometimes) Feed the baby in the germy restroom?

I'm all in favour of having a shawl or something for a little privacy, but if you don't like it, DON'T LOOK!

So there's what I was pissy about. And I do feel better, thanks! Remi clarified that he's fine with me breast-feeding in public, but doesn't want to see other women doing it (that's where the not-looking solution came in). And I love him anyway.

That attitude is actually one of my biggest peeves (the moms who are boycotting, that is) you know, where people act like they are entitled to never be made to feel uncomfortable, as if their environment being pristine circumvents, you know, natural acts and all sorts of other things...

I'm glad you both resolved your fight but your response had me doing a double take... you don't have a baby to breastfeed, do you you? This is a hypothetical future baby, right?

oh oops

I totally didn't clarify that, did I?

Nope, no baby. Probably in a couple years, but my education is a big priority for me right now.
